The Girl on the Train Houston Theatre reviews
MARY J. BLIGE SHUT IT DOWN!
I was slightly disappointed in her set, as Keyshia Cole wasn't interacting with the fans. Her outfit was cute and I loved how she incorporated some choreography into her set. She released a couple more hits since then that I thought she would have performed. OF COURSE, I chose to see Keyshia Cole as the opener. I am surprised the most recent song she performed was Enough of No Love. She performed like 7 or 8 songs (I Should Have Cheated, Shoulda Let you Go, Let It Go, Love, Enough of No Love, Playa Cardz Right, i Remember, Last Night and Heaven Sent). Also, her set seemed short. People were screaming "Love you Keyshia" and waving, and she wasn't talking back to the audience. If you haven't been to a The Girl on the Train concert, you are truly missing out. My first The Girl on the Train event and definitely not my last. I was caught between going to see The Girl on the Train with Tamar opening in Orlando or seeing Keyshia Cole open up for The Girl on the Train in Tampa.
She truly knows how to engage the crowd, interact with the audience, and put on a show! The Girl on the Train went innnnn, and I was all the way here for it. She was dancing, singing, adding her own creative spin on songs. Other than that, I was on my feet. I think I sat down once, maybe twice throughout her whole set. She performed all her hits, and I was amazed by how lively and energetic she was. She also shared a personal aspect of the show by telling us her story on staying sober, which I loved. It made me respect her even more.
